Noah’s Ark Animal Haven and Rescue: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The $3,000 Kia Pet Adoption Grant that our rescue was awarded allowed us to lower our adoption fees for 12 puppies and eight adult dogs. Adoption fees for dogs and puppies cover the cost of medical we provide, such as spay/neuter. If not for this grant, we wouldn’t have been able to lower the adoption fees and still cover the medical. Low adoption fees are important because there are so many dogs and puppies looking for homes.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Junie was surrendered to our rescue two years ago. She is a deaf 5-year-old Dalmatian/pit bull mix.
She was used for backyard breeding and then discarded when the family was done breeding. She then waited here patiently at our rescue for two years until she was able to find a home in November of 2022.
The Kia Pet Adoption Grant allowed us to lower her adoption fee to $125 and, shortly thereafter, she was adopted into a wonderful home in Oregon.
