How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Vet bills for our senior rescue, Spirit.

Paid 100% of Spirit's vet bill for conditions including:
- Grade 5 heart murmur; he is on heart meds that cost about $78 a month
- His heart is getting worse; he's now on blood-pressure meds, Carprofen and Lasix as well. These are all monthly and cost $142.54 per month.
- He also needs periodic blood work ($75) and x-rays ($50).

Spirit came to us after his owner died. He is super sweet, 9 years old, and weighs about 10 lbs. He is great with dogs, kids, and cats. As of this date (Aug. 10, 2018) he has not yet been adopted, but is living a wonderful life with his current foster in Orange County. Meet him: www.petfinder.com/petdetail/40600447
