Partners for Pets Humane Society: REDI Implementation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Being awarded these funds allowed Partners for Pets to expand our community-outreach programs through low-cost and free veterinary care throughout our neighboring communities. These programs allow community members to keep their pets up-to-date on state-required and lifesaving vaccines, keeping pets with their families despite financial restraints they may be facing.
How many pets did this grant help?
650
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
In November, Partners for Pets assisted Edwardsville Main Street Community Center members by providing a free vaccine and wellness clinic. This clinic provides all clients with free medical care for their pets as well as their family’s or friends’ pets.
We often see numerous animals who are subject to being removed from the home if they are unaltered or unvaccinated. Typically these clients and their families are unable to afford the costs of this care at a full-service veterinary office, and the clinics provided by Partners for Pets are their only option.
We are very happy to offer these services and feel they have directly impacted the owner-surrender totals in our local animal-control facilities.
