How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant was amazing! We used it to discount or waive the adoption fees on animals who had been "challenged" in finding their forever homes. The demographics we targeted were: long-term animals, seniors, pit bulls, behavior or medical cases, bonded pairs, hoarder victims, and any other dog/cat who needed help.
We had seven dogs who had been at the shelter for seven months to almost two years get adopted, multiple bonded pairs, seniors, and pitties -- it was awesome! Below you can see the amazing results.

36 were adopted, but the grant made room for 36 more who had been waiting to get in! So at least 72 were helped.
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Zada is one who really stands out. She was a stray, running the streets with a severe eye injury and starved nearly to death.
We took her in and got her healthy (she lost her eye), but found she needed pancreatic enzymes to stay that way, which seemed to deter adopters.
She was with us for 393 days but found her forever home with this grant promo. See her before, after, and adoption pics — they will bring a tear to your eye.
Bailey (third photo) was with us a sad 543 days but found his forever home as well.
