Ghetto Rescue FFoundation (GRFF): WAHL Grooming Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Bathing and grooming for rescued foster dogs.
We are a small, relatively new organization and our resources have been limited. Your grant has helped us provide care for dogs whose grooming needs and basic hygiene has been absent in their lives. If we had not received your generous grant, our coffers would have been strained.
How many pets did this grant help?
This grant helped over 10 dogs.
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Peaches is a beautiful Lab/Pit Bull mix. She was found in a home by police officers where she had spent an entire week lying on the floor with two severely broken front legs. Her owners didn’t have the money to obtain veterinary care for her and they were “doing the best they could,” but Peaches was obviously suffering. The owners relinquished Peaches to GRFF, and two surgeries and a Wahl treatment later, her new life began.
Skye was picked up from a junkyard. She had just given birth to an unknown number of puppies, but she was unable to deliver two remaining puppies and they died inside her. Skye was septic and hours away from death. In addition, she had been given a backyard crop job on her ears, which were horribly infected. She was caked with filth and appeared to be gray. After multiple surgeries and a Wahl spa treatment, Skye is a shining white beauty!
