Sarah is an 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel who had been dumped at the county shelter by her owner after years of neglect, and was scheduled to be euthanized on the day we saved her. She needed double cherry-eye surgery and multiple teeth extractions. When we rescued her, she was matted and infested with fleas. Although we shaved and bathed her when we brought her back to our center in June, she of course needed grooming prior to being adopted. She just went “home” at the end of November. We are so happy for this sweet girl to have a second chance.
Hurley was relinquished to our center in October — he and his “brother” had been living in the backyard for the past two years since the birth of a child. With another baby due, the family concluded that this was no life for these 4-year-old dogs, and sought our help. Hurley is a Maltese mix. He was bathed and groomed and quickly found his new forever family.
