Donate to us through Global Giving from Oct. 14-Nov. 12 and you’ll help twice as many homeless mother cats like Tiger Bella (above).
For those 30 days, Animal Planet’s R.O.A.R. is matching donations to the Petfinder Foundation dollar-for-dollar (learn more about the campaign here). That means cats like Tiger Bella, who was rescued by Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, Minn., can stay healthy while they wait for their forever homes.
Manager of Fund Development Marit Ortega tells us how our vaccination grant helped to keep Tiger Bella and Abby, another adult cat, healthy at the shelter:
“Tiger Bella arrived at our shelter with a litter of five kittens on Aug. 11. The litter had been unplanned, and her previous owner decided they had too many animals and opted to surrender the entire litter along with Tiger Bella. She had no history of veterinary care, so we vaccinated her upon arrival, and then, on Sept. 19 — the day of her adoption! — she was re-boostered courtesy of one of the vaccines received from your grant.
“Abby arrived at our shelter with two other adult cats on Sept. 7 because her previous owner was experiencing health problems and could no longer care for them. She was vaccinated courtesy of one of the vaccines received from your grant on Sept. 12. Two weeks later, on Sept. 25, she found her forever home!
“We sincerely appreciate the help in keeping our shelter animals healthy! Thank you, once again!”
Tiger Bella, Abby and many other cats at Tri-County Humane Society were helped by our Shot at Life vaccination grant program, supported by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc., The Animal Rescue Site and GreaterGood.org.
