Sheriff the Lab mix came to the APA in January from Sikeston, Missouri. He acquired his name from the kind sheriff in town who would pass by his house every day and see this poor pooch tethered to a 1-foot rope on a porch. Finally one day, the sheriff decided enough was enough, and he went over and untied him. He took him to the kind folks at the Sikeston Humane Society, who then contacted us. After just one week at the APA, Sheriff found a new home with a loving family and a very happy little boy.
