Salt Lake County Animal Services: Orvis Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant was used to purchase products that provide daily enrichment to our shelter dogs. Every day, the dogs at the shelter get a frozen pupsicle to help engage their minds and make their time at Salt Lake County Animal Services more enjoyable. It's a little something extra for them to eat, something for them to do that works their brain, and they LOVE it!

We couldn't do our daily enrichments without generous donations from our supporters and community! Receiving this grant not only allowed us to replenish our supply of enrichment items but also helped to relieve the stress and boredom of kennel life for our shelter dogs.

Lea, pictured, a 2-year-old spayed female Great Pyrenees mix, was one of the many pets at our shelter who benefited from this grant.

As you can see, she was very pleased with her pupsicle! Lea has since been adopted into a loving home.
