Tilly, a senior Chihuahua, had all her teeth pulled due to severe oral disease.
From Facebook: “Tilly has had a rough life. After her owner tragically passed away, Tilly found herself snuggling up next to someone familiar — her owner’s friend who was, unfortunately, homeless and living in her car. Although Tilly was warm, she was in dire need of medical attention, her teeth were rotting, and she was suffering from severe oral disease.
“This sweet senior’s chances of surviving another day in that car were slim. Dental disease can cause serious damage since the disease travels through the gums and straight into the bloodstream.
“Thankfully, this little girl was found living inside the car with the homeless woman and she was rescued by Upstate Animal Rescue Foundation of South Carolina. Tilly is a senior terrier mix and very tiny, but her ailments were mighty. This poor girl was in need of spay and in need of having her teeth pulled since she was suffering from severe oral disease.”
