This grant enabled us to adopt out more dogs who were 1 year or older to forever homes. We advertised about the grant on our social media channels to encourage the community to come see dogs who had been at the shelter for more than 10 days and were ready for adoption.

Otis, a standard poodle mix, was adopted by a loving family who had a farm outside the city. He had come to us from a high-[intake] shelter in Kentucky that we partner with to save more lives.
