How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

All funds were used to lower our adoption fees from $80 to $25 during the Clear the Shelter Adoption Event. We are a small city municipal shelter and we do all we can to get every animal adopted to new forever homes as soon as we can.

We had a very sweet senior dog named Patches who was surrendered by his owner, who was entering a retirement home and could no longer keep him. Patches was an 8-year-old shepherd mix and weighed in at 62 lbs.

A sweet couple came to our shelter and, after visiting with several dogs, they decided on Patches. This made our shelter staff and volunteers so happy, because we know most people are looking for younger dogs.
