Six Kittens Rescue: Cat Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant improved the quality of life of kittens in our care by providing new toys, climbing and scratching furniture, and beds to all of our foster homes! Kittens are extremely curious and can get into a lot of trouble, some of which is very dangerous, if they do not have enough enrichment activities to distract them. We have been able to provide our foster families with a lot more cat-specific furniture to help our with our kittens' curiosity!

Our “hot sauce kittens,” Mateo, Julio, and Cholula, are being fostered by one of our board members who received a very large cat tree thanks to this grant. Not only did the kittens help foster kiddo put the tree together, they immediately went to town batting the pompoms around and then lounging in the hammock for a cat nap after some hard play. All three kittens have been reserved for adoption by their forever families!
