How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Over the last month, we have been able to send home several senior pets with no adoption fee to assist adopters with medical needs for the seniors. It has been a wonderful thing to see. We will continue to do this until we use all our grant money.

London had been with us for five years. She came in from an abuse case in which her original owner was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

She was 8 years old and not good with other dogs. She was also missing an eye from blunt-force trauma.

A very kind soul who served in Vietnam and suffers from PTSD came to meet her and they bonded almost immediately. Thanks to your grant, we were able to tell him the fee had been paid in advance thanks to the Petfinder Foundation.

Because of that, he went on a shopping spree for her. She has new beds, an eye patch (lol), a new leash and collar, and plenty of treats to start her life in her new home.

There will be many more of these wonderful moments because of the Petfinder Foundation’s generosity. Thank you!
