How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

KONG toy products were given to dogs to provide them with a temporary, happier way of living until they were adopted.

KONG toy products were excellent stimulation for our dogs who were unable to get more than their daily bathroom breaks. Dogs received daily peanut-butter Kongs to occupy their minds in our stressful adoption center.

In 2019, 1,207 dogs benefited from the KONG toy grant.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Brenda (first and second photos) and Bronn (photos 3-6) thoroughly enjoyed KONG toys. When their foster was unable to exercise them, the KONGs provided mental stimulation for the dogs. Prior to meeting applicants, they would enjoy KONG toys and, as a result, they would be better behaved at meet-and-greets. Both dogs ended up being adopted.
