Ozark Haven Rescue: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The Bar Dog Operation Grant made it possible for us to have the necessary supplies on-hand when taking dogs into our program. Many times they come in with fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites, and other needs. Having supplies on-hand enables us to meet the immediate needs of the animals coming in so that they can be made comfortable and begin their journeys to health and safety on their way to finding forever homes.

Who can resist the charm of a floppy-eared, fun-loving hound dog in their life? Raven (first photo) embodies all that sweetness.
Her journey to us was quite a tale: She was discovered under a deck, desperately trying to keep her puppies cool in the dirt while she herself was slowly starving. The unfortunate situation was made worse by some neighbors, who were feeding the pups but neglecting Raven’s needs, leaving her malnourished (second and third photos). She’s now at a healthy weight and feeling great (fourth and fifth photos)!
Despite her estimated age of 5-6 yrs, Raven still exhibits many puppy-like behaviors. She’s got a playful spirit and thrives with an active family that can keep up with her energy. Walks are one of her favorite activities, and her enthusiasm for exploring all the fascinating scents along the way is truly endearing.
