Paws4ever: REDI Implementation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

With the $4,000 REDI implementation grant, Paws4ever was able to hire a DEI consultant to conduct an analysis of our current policies/processes and provide recommendations and action steps for how we can become more equitable and inclusive.

We are in the process of updating our strategic plan to include these DEI/REDI-related recommendations. These funds also covered the cost for Paws4ever to participate in four booth activities at more diverse events than we had previously participated in to spread the word about our programs and services to a wider and more diverse group of community members.

Petey was with us for more than 200 days. His now-owner met him at one of the community events we were able to participate in thanks to the funding from the REDI implementation grant.

Petey is now in a wonderful home with multiple dogs, cats, and chickens! Thank you, Petfinder Foundation, for making his adoption possible!
