How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant was used to subsidize the purchase of crates during Hurricane Ian, which helped the Animal Services Team safely move some animals into foster homes so they could take on strays who'd been displaced by the storm and also assist partner agencies to house some of their animals.

Buffalo (Gruffalo) was one of the dogs whom we had during the storm.

He was just adopted a couple of weeks ago by one of our volunteers and her family. He now has his very own forever family where he gets to sleep on the couch, look out of the window with his new sister, and play on his human’s bed.

He now gets all of the love and attention from his family, which is the best beginning of his new story.
