The Bar Dog Operation Grant has helped feed dogs like Vito who are currently looking for homes with our rescue.
Vito is a friendly 2-year-old male coonhound mix. He is from Hoopa, CA, which is an Indian reservation from which we often rescue stray animals.
Vito wandered the reservation for two years before we could rescue him. His owner at the time didn’t mind him wandering and wouldn’t allow him to live inside. He then got a new puppy and decided he did not want Vito anymore.
We were able to take Vito into our rescue and now he’s looking for a loving home of his own. He is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. He does well with people of all ages and he even does well with dogs and cats.
Grants awarded from the Petfinder Foundation help take the strain and stress off of the financial aspect in rescue when we are caring for all of our adoptable animals until they can find loving homes. We wouldn’t be able to help rescue animals without the support of these grants. Thank you, Petfinder Foundation!
