We have seen a marked improvement in the behavior of our shelter dogs since launching the field trip program. With the supplies we were able to purchase with the grant funds, we are able to keep organized and visually appealing supplies ready to send a dog on a field trip at any time.

Sadie is a long-term dog who has been with us for well over a year. She has some pretty specific requirements due to her escape-artist tendencies, and had been starting to show signs of kennel stress.
The field trip program has alleviated some of her anxiety and given her an outlet for energy — and, frankly, has saved her life!
While Sadie is still available for adoption, she is no longer emotionally declining at the shelter and looks forward to all her field trip adventures each week.
