Greenawalds Service: Dog Field Trip/Short-Term Fostering Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant helped us to start a Dogs Day Out program and put together totes of supplies each dog will need for their specific Field Trip. It is helping our long-term rescues get out and get more attention while they await their forever homes.
So far it has been GREAT: The dogs are enjoying it and look forward to their trips. We have also been able to recruit longer-term fosters.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Toffee is a long-term, special-needs foster dog under Greenawalds Service Rescue who has benefited from the field trip grant.
When we pulled her from the county shelter euthanasia list, she had a wrist that had been crushed and fused backwards. Then she proceeded to blow out her knee on the same side and had to have extensive TPLO surgery.
These injuries have her on restrictive activity, which she is not a big fan of because she always has a ton of energy to burn.
This field trip grant has allowed her to get out more and play safely. We can’t thank the Petfinder Foundation enough for giving us the ability to make this happen and improve the stay of our dogs waiting for forever families.
