This $500 grant went towards the $3,500 bill for Rocky’s emergency fracture repair for his front leg. We were able to fundraise to cover almost all of the remaining bill, making it possible for us to get this much-needed surgery for Rocky.

Rocky was adopted from our rescue as a puppy, and this past winter, when he was about 1 year old, he had a terrible accident that lead to a fracture of one of his front legs.
His family requested to surrender him back to us for care, as they weren’t able to make the financial commitment or the commitment to his recovery post-surgery. This came as a huge, unexpected expense for our rescue and we are so thankful for the support the Petfinder Foundation was able to provide us.
Rocky is fully healed at this point and loving playing with his doggy friend in his foster home while still anxiously awaiting a place to call his forever home.
