How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received a box of 8-10 small KONGS.

KONGS are an excellent way to stimulate the mind of a dog. While waiting in their little rooms they can get bored and lonely. KONGS take away the boredom and make their experience inside much more pleasant.

How many pets did this grant help?

The refurbished KONGS last for about three months before coming apart. Potentially the KONGS will go through at least 30 dogs but 8-10 at a time.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

We took in two min pin puppies surviving parvo. They were tiny, and so playful. But they had to be separated from the other dogs until they were completely healthy. KONGs saved their minds and gave them some exercise. We were very grateful for the timing of the donation. Both girls have been adopted!
