Novastar Rescue: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Dealing with the overwhelming amount of dogs being dumped and running alone in remote places has been a challenge. The Kong toys have given our dogs/puppies something they desperately needed: something to entertain them while they eagerly await forever homes.
Our staff were so excited about the Kong toys that they filled them with peanut butter, passed them around, and watched the excitement. Novastar staff as well as our dogs thank you for choosing us as a grant recipient. When rescues are overcrowded, many time the funds we raise go to the basics like food and medicine, so these Kong toys are a special treat.

Captain (first photo) is a gentle boy who came to Novastar after suffering a gunshot wound to his private area. He has been vetted for his injury and has recovered and is waiting for his forever home.
Captain loves his new Kong toy, which keeps him happy and excited in his kennel.
