How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our stray-animal intake numbers have doubled. Most of our intakes come from the streets. They are scared and unsure of everything and everyone. Just a simple introduction to the stuffed Kong toys entertains them long enough for our volunteers to get to work.

The Kong Classic Dog Toys arrived just in time to make a difference in the decompression of a female doggie, and another puppy who was nervous during shots. We stuffed them with cream cheese and peanut butter for the second.

Both had no idea how to play with them, but quickly realized something good was inside. They both managed to relax, allowing volunteers a moment for shots, deworming, basic care, and microchipping.
