How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant provided comfortable beds for the dogs in our care as they wait for their forever families to come. These beds were comfortable, yet easily washable. The beds provided comfort for some of our shyest and most scared dogs. They were able to find comfort as they learned to trust.

Maggie came to use after her dad passed away and her mom was not able to care for her anymore.

Maggie was terrified; she wanted nothing to do with us. We would find her cowering in the corner, shaking (first photo).

We would not give up on Maggie. She learned to trust us little by little (second photo), first connecting with one of our staff members and then slowly trusting each staff member until she was able to find her loving home.

During this time, Maggie with able to have a safe space on her bed where she could go to find comfort (third photo).
