This grant gave us the opportunity to waive Yandel's adoption fees and supply the necessary medications for his eyes, joints, and liver, as well as prescription dog food, to his new family. He was adopted because of this!

This grant was for an 11-year-old large senior Lab mix named Yandel. He came in after his owner passed away with his two brothers.

His brothers were adopted almost immediately, but Yandel waited and waited for his new family to come. He was often overlooked because of his age, size, and ongoing medical conditions with dry eye and arthritis, as well as his needing to be on a special diet.

We were able to offer a waived adoption fee and all the medications and food thanks to this grant, and once we did, his forever family finally came and adopted him! He is now living the life with another dog and cat and way too many bone chews and toys!
