We used the grant to sponsor the adoption fee for a bonded pair of senior Labs. I am happy to announce that the pair was adopted together on Sept. 23, 2023!!

Stella, an 11-year-old chocolate Lab, and Sully, a 7-year-old black Lab, were picked up as strays together in our local community. Unfortunately, they were never claimed and were being transferred to the closest humane society an hour away. Fairy Tails Rescue stepped in to pull them from the humane society, as we did not feel a shelter was the best setting for two seniors.

Upon pulling them, Fairy Tails had them vetted. We discovered that, although Stella was covered in bumps, none of them were cancerous. Unfortunately, however, the one lump that Sully had did come back as cancerous, so we had it removed and he healed up wonderfully.

Despite our efforts in posting and sharing this pair, we got zero interest in adopting them — until we we posted on Facebook that their adoption fee was sponsored. We are happy to announce that they were officially adopted together on Sept. 23, 2023, and we couldn’t be happier!!
