It paid for Shortcake the pig's daily pain medication (Vetprofen 1.5 100 mg pills per day, $116 per 180 ct bottle = $350/year) for the rest of her life. She is 9 years old and was born with a deformed leg that causes her daily mobility issues. The pain medicine allows her to be mobile.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Our rescue saved Shortcake and her sister Twinkie from severe neglect when they were 8 years old. They had been living separately in small pens without access to grass or medical care.

Shortcake was born with a deformed leg that causes her daily mobility issues. We got both sisters spayed and now Shortcake receives daily pain medicine that allows her to be mobile and happy.

Shortcake and Twinkie are still looking for their forever home together.

You can meet Shortcake here.
