Save One Soul: Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Wrigley, a Shar-Pei, came to us in spring 2022 after she was discarded by her family at the age of 9. Wrigley had minor health issues that have been successfully addressed.
Wrigley is exactly what you would expect out of a Shar-Pei: She loves "her people," is great with people of all ages, and does well with other dogs.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Wrigley is a senior dog who was surrendered by her family of nine years when they moved. Even though Wrigley is a purebred shar-pei and only had minor health issues that were taken care of, we did not get a single application for her.
Once we posted about having a grant from the Petfinder Foundation, we received three viable applications for her, and we could choose the best fit.
Wrigley is now in a home that takes owning a dog seriously, and she will never have to worry about ending up in the shelter again. She can live her golden days in the way that they are intended to be lived — loved and well cared-for.
