How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The monies were used to waive adoption fees as well as give fee reductions.

The timing to receive this grant was perfect because we had one of the most productive months in the rescue as far as adoptions. We truly believe the announcement of the grant played a big part in the successful adoption of nine of our dogs. The grant helped not only us as a rescue by bringing some much-needed attention to our adoptable dogs, but it also helped our adopters to enable them to purchase a few other items they needed for their new dogs by reducing or waiving the adoption fee.

Sasha was a momma dog who came from our local shelter three years ago. Her pups were all adopted shortly thereafter. Sasha needed a special kind of home, one with no other dogs and no cats. We have tried all this time to promote her and find her a forever home. Well, the day came and the family is perfect. We were able to utilize the grant to not only help Sasha but to help the family.

Leroy came to the rescue unexpectedly and he was temporarily in foster. Just a day before we were to place him in a boarding facility, the perfect application came in and he is now in his forever home. We were able to use the grant to help this family along also.
