This grant was for my foster dog Nixie who, unfortunately, was recently euthanized because her quality of life was deteriorating rapidly. It provided funds to help keep her in a safe and comfortable environment until it was time to let her go before her discomfort became too great. She was a tough old girl and I’m grateful that, with the help of kind donors and the support of my national rescue group, I was able to give her a few good and happy years at the end of her life.
