Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The KONGs MLGSDR received will be used for our new intake dogs who are kept at the boarding kennel until they find their foster or forever homes. The KONG will be theirs to keep and moved along with them as they go from boarding to foster to forever homes. The excess KONGs will be utilized at our facility that we keep our "permanent" residents at.
The KONG toy grant helped MLGSDR by providing long-lasting, mentally stimulating toys that our new intakes and permanent residents can utilize. German shepherds can be very destructive when they are bored, and by providing them with a tough toy like a KONG, that will help keep their minds busy while they wait to find their forever homes.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Rubble has been looking for a foster or forever home for over eight weeks now and has been spending his time in the boarding kennel. I delivered a KONG to him after we received the package and he loved chewing and chasing it. The KONG will help him pass the time he spends in his kennel and will make his outside time even more enjoyable since he loves chasing his KONG.
