Oakley was adopted to a wonderful home shortly after being relinquished from a home where he was not receiving the best care. From his Petfinder profile: “Hi, my name is Oakley. I am a 1 1/2-year-old, spayed female toy Australian shepherd. I have had a rough life, being passed around. I need to find a home that may be a bit quiet, where I can settle down and enjoy my life. My previous short-term home said I am housetrained if people pay attention to me. I do not have accidents at the shelter, ever. I love other small dogs a lot. I have not been around cats. The shelter has been a bit scary for me since my life has been so up in the air. The volunteers spoil me and I get so excited when I get to go for walks, but I want a real, forever home, please.”
