How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used this grant to offer reduced-fee adoptions for the cats and kittens on our roster. So far, we have been able to find homes for 14 pets, with funding remaining for one more adoption (which is in the works)! The reduced adoption fees allowed new pet parents to buy more toys and goodies to spoil their new babies. Everyone was thrilled with the reduced fee!

Melon and Kiwi (first photo) were with their foster mom, Aimee, longer than we usually have our kittens. Their mom was FELV-positive, though regressive/low viral load — but having that shadow hanging over them reduced their chances for adoption.

After receiving four negative combo tests, our feline specialist felt that they were very likely a true negative and we were able to share that exciting news with our followers and on Facebook groups.

Not too long after sharing this great news, we found the PERFECT adopters for these two lovebugs and now they are being fully spoiled in their new home.
