Dubois County Humane Society: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Our previous load of Kong toys was used and needed to be replaced. As we have a very small staff, we often give Kong toys to dogs when we are not in the building during the afternoons or when the weather is poor to keep them busy. Some dogs also need additional toys to reduce the stress that kennel life creates.
How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Biscuit (first and second photos) is a senior American bulldog whom we have in our care. She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which means she cannot be in our normal playgroups. Kong toys give her something to do.
We are also trying to create a way to attach the bone-shaped Kongs to something sturdy in her enclosure, as she, like many American bulldogs, likes to play tug. This would also give her something to do to keep her mind occupied.
