Lee County Humane Society: Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant was used to promote our senior Staffordshire terrier mix, Rosemary, in order to help find her happily fur-ever after. The money has been transferred to a special account at her new veterinarian's office and will be used for her care.
This grant helped Rosemary find her loving forever home after 255 days at LCHS.
How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Rosemary was found as a stray in a rural county in Georgia (first photo). The Animal Control facility attempted to make contact with the person associated with her microchip, but received no response.
After an 11-day stay, she came to LCHS, where she began her healing process. Rosemary’s skin was angry and inflamed; she was underweight and her spirit broken.
With time and loving foster care, we began to see Rosemary’s personality shine through (second and third photos). This beautiful American Staffordshire terrier mix required special attention to help clear her skin and has been doing well with symptom management.
This grant will continue to provide Rosemary with the veterinary care she needs to live her golden years in great health and ultimate happiness, and we at LCHS are so very proud to say that, after 255 days, Rosemary is home (bottom photo)!
