How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were able to offer reduced adoption fees for 30 dogs and cats using the grant money awarded us. Thirty dogs and cats have found amazing new forever homes thanks in part to this generous grant.

Elway found his forever home. He was a 2-year-old great Pyreense mix who had been at the shelter for about six months. He was the sweetest boy ever: great with young kids, loved other animals, and playful but not overly energetic. We could not believe he hadn’t been adopted, since he was just a calm, quiet, loving dog — and a shelter favorite!

He finally found his forever home and is living a fabulous life! He gets to live with four dachshunds, two young boys, and a mom and dad who take him along to any dog-friendly place they visit.

He is the perfect dog for the family and the family has the perfect home for Elway. He really could not have found a more suitable home and we are so grateful to Kia and the Petfinder Foundation for helping us unite Elway with his new family.
