Adoptions have been very slow lately. The economy is tough for everyone. The grant allowed us to lower adoption fees and get the pets into homes.

We are grateful for the support from Petfinder and the Kia Pet Adoption grant.

We were able to lower the adoption fee for Ellio, whose physical condition made him a hard-to-adopt pet. He is a sweet boy who loves pets. He is FIV positive and has had a half tail amputation.

We had pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that he would become a permanent resident of the rescue. He is now in a very loving home (third photo) and we couldn’t be more grateful and happy for him.
