Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Calli came to us from a partner rescue in Puerto Rico. She was only 4 months old at the time. Her foster mom thought she may be limping on one leg and asked the doctor at the spay clinic to check it out when she was there for a spay surgery. The doctor thought Calli’s hip was dislocated and referred us to a full-service vet for x-rays.
She was brought in to Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital, where x-rays were taken. They told us she needed an FHO surgery to correct a hip deformity that she was likely born with. Having this surgery would increase her mobility and relieve her of pain associated with her hip.
The grant we received from the Petfinder foundation helped pay for this surgery. Calli was adopted shortly after she was all healed up. Her family loves her very much.
