This grant covered the adoption fees for 10 long-stay adoptable dogs. Waiving the adoption fees has been a big motivating factor to help people adopt. Since we received this grant and began promoting it, three dogs have been adopted.

Rousso (first and second photos) came to GPG in November 2022 after he was found as a stray. Despite being a handsome and sweet boy, he had a really hard time getting adopted.

After Rousso was in our care for eight months, we received the Kia Pet Adoption Grant and waived his adoption fee with the grant funds.

A post was made featuring him and his fee being waived by this grant and the very next day, his now momma, Jessie, applied to adopt him! The third photo shows Rousso in his new home.
